I cannot emphasize enough that solidarity is your strongest tool. If you want to see progress in your lifetime, support all members of the queer community, support all people of color, support the entire disabled & neurodivergent community, with vigor and passion and trust, and do not make exceptions. Either we are all deserving or we deserve nothing.

And if you doubt the importance of solidarity, watch the 2014 film ‘Pride’, which is based on real historical events. A small group of gay activists declared their solidarity with the struggling miners, who were also victims of oppression by Thatcher’s government, and set out to raise money to support the strikers and their families. Later, Britain’s Labour party were pushed into supporting rights for gays and Lesbians… under pressure from the National Union Of Mine Workers.

As the song says: Solidarity Forever.
